Majestic Indian Cobra
One of the unique captures of my experience with shooting snakes. This is a wild cobra, and this picture was clicked in the wilderness as well. The only thing in my favor here was my friend who ran the snake rescue and was suspending the snake on a stick for me to click the picture. Since the snake was in this position, I was not in its striking range and had the opportunity to get up close, I went for the well-calculated risk shot. Cobras, as you may be aware, have to life their hood up before striking (unlike vipers who shoot like a spring arm), so this was not only a safer position but also a unique opportunity to click the beautiful animal with a very different expression as people are used to seeing.
