Darling Jumping Spider on the Kill
I am certainly a big fan of macro photography and love to shoot hard to capture subjects and this frame is one such shot. The jumping spiders are shy and way too swift to stay in focus for enough time. Shooting this baby required a significant amount of time as I had to constantly reposition my camera around it's constantly moving prey drive. I was fortunate that it was facing me at the moment when it caught this fly in it's unforgiving grip. The Darling Jumping Spiders are bigger cousins of the Jumping Spider and are about 3/4 inchs big. They have beautiful set of eyes and a green tint on their body that helps them camoflauge a little as this spider does not spin a web, rather chases and hunts it's prey.
